Routine diagnostics include thorough ocular examination, intraocular pressure measurement, Schirmer tear test, fluoroscein dye test (cornea). Advanced diagnostics include gonioscopy, ocular ultrasonography, electroretinography, and CT scan.

Common medical conditions treated are glaucoma, dry eye, eyelid abnormalities, corneal ulcers, immune mediated disease, and trauma. Surgical diseases include corneal grafts, lens implants, cataract surgery, ocular neoplasia, and trauma.
