Mission MedVet is introducing the specialty of cardiology to the Kansas City area.  We offer extensive experience in evaluating and treating dogs and cats with cardiac disease, and most importantly improving the quality of our patients’ lives. We will be offering more common procedures such as echocardiography and ECG interpretations as well as more technologically demanding procedures such as pacemaker implantation, angiograms, PDA coil-embolization, and balloon valvuloplasties.

Commonly acquired cardiac related diseases diagnosed and treated are dilated cardiomyopathy, chronic valve disease, arrhythmias, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Common congenital disorders consist of patent ductus arteriosus , pulmonic stenosis, and subaortic stenosis.
